After considerable scheduling, I, didi, baby and kabilan left for Pondicherry on Monday morning. We started after 6.00am from our home to Koyembedu bus stop for Pondicherry. We reached Pondicherry by 8.00am. We straight away went to Mother Ashram and it was very calm and quiet place. It is a good place to meditate. We sat there for an hour and then went for the Library and the places where Shri Aurobindo used stay, his living room.
After this, we directly headed for Shri Vinayak temple, about few feet from Ashram. Vinayak temple’s construction is breathtaking. Right from the color of the stones used to the sculptor’s talent, everything is first rate. The granite statues that can produce sound are amazing.
The priest at the temple has put Vibhooti bottus (religious white color powder strips on our foreheads) on all of us that made us look like very different people. After spending an hour or so at the temple, we went to beach. We stayed there for a very short time, mainly because it is almost lunch time and there is no decent food nearby. We went all the way back to near bus stand and had lunch at a decent restaurant. The service there is very good and the food is tasty enough.
It is about 4.00pm by the time we completed our lunch. We roamed around there till dusk and it was dark by that time we started from there. We took another tea break before reaching Chennai . We reached home by about 9.30pm.
After dinner, I transferred the photos from kabilan’s memory card to the desktop and found that we shot about 25+ pictures. Unfortunately, kabilan didn’t change the settings of the camera during evening and the photos are shot at a lowest resolution possible.
